At Total EREN we develop, build and operate renewable energy assets. 

At present, Total EREN operates four renewable energy generation plants in Argentina: one 30 MWp solar power plant (Caldenes del Oeste), three 100, 98 and 50.4 MW wind power projects (Mario Cebreiro, Vientos Los Hércules and Malaspina) and a 14 MWp solar power plant (Amanecer, currently under construction) and other projects, including a hydrogen plant, under construction.

  • Malaspina

Malaspina is a 50.4 MW wind farm in the province of Chubut, southern Argentina. The farm comprises 14 type 3.6M114NES wind turbines and generates an estimated 245 GWh of electric power per year, which is enough to supply 60,000 residential customers in Argentina.

 

  • Vientos Los Hércules

Vientos Los Hércules is a 98 MW wind farm located in the province of Santa Cruz, southern Argentina. The farm comprises 27 type 3.6M114NES wind turbines and generates an estimated 400 GWh of electric power per year, which is enough to supply 110,000 residential customers in Argentina.

 

  • Mario Cebreiro

Mario Cebreiro is a 100 MW wind farm located in Bahía Blanca, province of Buenos Aires. The farm comprises 29 type 3.45 Vestas V16 wind turbines and generates an estimated 400 GWh of electric power per year, which is enough to supply 110,000 residential customers in Argentina.

 

  • Caldenes del Oeste

Caldenes del Oeste is located in the province of San Luis. It has over 92,000 panels and an installed capacity of 30 MW, which is enough to supply 17,000 residential customers.

 

  • Amanecer

Amanecer is our next project, which is currently under construction in the province of Catamarca, and which shall supply an additional 14 MW to Argentina as from mid-2024.

 

With these projects, Total EREN is contributing to the sustainable economic development of the region and to the evolution of local communities through open-ended dialogue and ongoing cooperation with local schools, NGOs and other institutions.

In addition, the experience gained in the construction of these plants has strengthened our ambition for other future renewable energy projects in Argentina.
