Therefore, we work on a daily basis to overcome these challenges and we commit ourselves to provide cleaner, safer, more efficient and more accessible energy.

More than 45 years of presence and experience in Argentina

Some of the country’s most significant oil and gas reserves are located under the seabed. Developing such reserves entails facing several challenges, since offshore operations are technically complex and are conducted in remote areas, without infrastructure, and in particularly adverse weather conditions.

However, our exploration and production teams benefit from the experience acquired over more than four decades in the country, as well as the know-how that has made the TotalEnergies company one of the industry’s top offshore operators worldwide.

This allows us to be successful at the time of implementing and leading large projects. Thus, in Tierra del Fuego, we operate onshore field Ara-Cañadon Alfa and offshore fields Hidra, Kaus, Carina, Aries, Vega Pleyade and Fénix.

In the Neuquen Basin, we operates 3 blocks, including Aguada Pichana Este, San Roque and Pampa de Las Yeguas fields. In addition to conventional resources, these concessions include unconventional oil and gas exploration and production in Vaca Muerta shale formation.

Today, we continue carrying out an intense exploration and production activity. The economic and sustainable development of natural resources, respecting the highest standards of safety and environmental preservation, strengthens our commitment to a long-term strategic project designed to provide cleaner, safer and lasting energy to Argentina.

Reliability and low carbon energy for our customers

We are responsible for marketing and dispatching our gas and oil production, ensuring supply to both our domestic and international customers while maximizing the value of TotalEnergies’ production in Argentina. We also market gas produced by third parties who benefit from our extensive market expertise and our activity platform, enabling us to complement and optimize the Company’s activities.

Natural Gas Trading

We are leaders in both the domestic market and the natural gas export market, working with a strong customer-oriented approach and offering products that allow not only wellhead gas sales but also gas and transport (“City Gate”) or multi-basin gas sales, among other.

We rely on three fundamental principles: anticipation, innovation and reliability. For this reason, we constantly work to ensure a safe and uninterrupted gas supply to our customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Thus, our products are recognized for their high-quality standards and supply reliability.

In Argentina, we supply natural gas to every market segment: residential, commercial, compressed natural gas stations, electric power stations and large, medium and small-sized industries. In addition, we play a key role in the energy integration of the Southern Cone Region, being one of the leading exporters of gas to Chile and developing gas supply to Brazil from Argentina.

At present, we sell over 18 million cubic meters of gas per day from all producing basins, which accounts for approximately 13% of the total gas marketed in Argentina. Our extensive customer portfolio includes all Natural Gas Distribution Companies, Electric Power Generators and leading industries throughout the country.

Liquid Hydrocarbons Trading

We also market crude oil and other liquid hydrocarbons in both domestic and export markets, ensuring efficient supply and maximizing the value of our production.

Specifically, we transport and market more than 5,100 barrels of oil per day, ensuring a reliable and efficient flow to key markets. This is complemented by the management of more than 7,500 tons of LPG per month from our Cañadón Alfa plant, now the third largest LPG producer in Argentina thanks to natural gas processing.

Our operations have a strong international projection: more than 75% of sales are export-oriented, operating consistently and seamlessly with major international traders and positioning our production in the most competitive markets.

In parallel, we play a key midstream role in Vaca Muerta, with firm capacity contracts with major transporters and leading storage and dispatch terminals. We also offer end-to-end crude oil unloading, storage and dispatch services in both basins, strengthening the efficiency and reliability of our entire logistics chain.
